So far, 27 airlines are operating schedule flights to and from Kathmandu. Nepal Airlines is the national flag carrier of Nepal with flights to/from Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Other international airlines operating from/ to Kathmandu are Thai Airways (Bangkok), Qatar Airways (Doha), Air India/Indian Airlines (Delhi, Kolkotta, Varanasi), Gulf Air (Bahrain, Muscat), Buddha Air (Paro, Luckhnow), Air Arabia (Sharjah), Air China (Lhasa, Chengdu), ArkeFly(Amsterdam ), Bahrain Air (Bahrain), Biman Bangladesh (Dhaka), China Southern Airlines (Guangzhou), China Eastern (Kunming), Dragon Air (Hong Kong), Druk Air (Delhi, Paro), Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi), GMG Airlines (Dhaka), Jet Airways (Delhi, Mumbai), Jet Lite (Delhi), Kingfisher Airlines (Delhi), Korean Air (Seoul), Pakistan International Airlines (Karachi) and Silk Air (Singapore).

The month of October is the peak tourist season in Nepal. It is advised that you book your air-ticket in advance to get reasonable air-fares.

For those who wish to come by train or vehicle from India, you may enter India at the following border entry points: Kakadbhitta, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Bhairawa, Nepalgunj.
